There are 27 holes at Cinnabar Hills split into the aptly named Mountain, Valley and Lakes courses. I had the pleasure of playing the Mountain and Valley courses and the holes on these are all individual and challenging in their own right. The facilities at Cinnabar Hills are first class and ably abetted by the spectacular surrounding countryside which is best seen, not surprisingly, from the Mountain course.
The tee shot placement was the key for these courses and when correctly negotiated often leave fairly straightforward looking approaches, but the undulated and often multiple tiered greens cleverly guarded by the hazards, ensure that it is not as simple as first looked. Add to the equation the swirling and fluctuating winds and you soon see how this course defends itself especially on some of the seemingly shorter par 4's. The 9th holes on both courses are fitting closing holes especially the long par 5 dogleg on the mountain course where the views from the tee are likely to stay with you for a long time.
Cinnabar Hills is a fabulous group of three 9 hole courses and a visit is definitely recommended by this golfer.
