We have many great courses here on Long Island, many private and quite a few public ones. It seems the private ones are becoming more and more expensive and exclusive to join ( 250K - 500K USD )while the daily fee courses struggle to attract golfers willing to pay $75=$100 USD to play a round. This is especially true on the East End of LI.The fully public ones seem to be mostly busy during peak times, but I notice that I can pretty much get out on Bethpage Black as a single on most any day.

Grand Valley Golf course lies 40 minutes north of Tucson
As you pass through Eloy on your way to Phoenix or Casa Grande from Tucson you will see the Grand Valley Golf Course along the way. I have passed by this golf course hundreds of times on my travels to an from Phoenix. Curiosity settles in every time I pass by.
